Week4 – ADV3662

On February 25, 2011, in Week4, by Genevieve HItchings

Hello!

Here are some of the example files that we looked at on Wednesday (you can download): examples

I also showed how to bring in images into Flash form Photoshop and Illustrator.
With Photoshop you have to make sure your images are 72 dpi and then you can save them as PNG files or as JPEGs. To bring them into Flash you can ‘file/import’ them.

Since Illustrator is a vector program you can try to copy and paste. If the graphics are simple enough that usually works. If the illustrator file uses tons of paths and blends, then you might have to export the file as an SWF from Illustrator and then import the SWF into Flash.

HOMEWORK: For next week begin to take your logo design and animate it – internally.
Set the stage in Flash to be roughly 200x150px. Make sure all your graphics are on separate layers so that you can focus on animating the individual parts. Use the examples we worked on in class as a reference.

Feel free to email me your logo design if you want some feedback before you start to animate.

Also for next week I would like to collect a printed version of the ‘content’ handout – which you can find under week3.

Have a great weekend!
See you Monday.
