Hello class,
To help you remember all the steps involved in creating and action scripting a button, you might check out this tutorial:

Although written a year ago, this is a nice article I came across exploring the future of Flash vs HTML5: http://www.thinkoomph.com/thinking/2010-02/html-5-flash-future/
Here is the source file from our last class. We continued to explore the concept of building out your site using movieclips. In this version we built out the ‘past’ section. I also have an example of how you might build out a section using a ‘close’ button – look at the ‘present’ section in the attached example; it’s similar to how a lightbox might function in HTML: lesson-week9
And here is the handout I gave in class. It’s a checklist of what project1 should include: ADV3662-Checklist
For next week work on laying out your site in Flash. If you have been designing the piece in Photoshop or Illustrator it’s time to transition the layout into Flash. I will ask everyone to save a copy of your site into my drop box next Monday.
Let me know if you have questions. Have a good week!
