Stink bugs also know as true bugs can in fact release an unfortunate smelling odor from special thoracic glands when threatened. This smell sends a chemical message to other stink bugs, warning them of danger and helps to deter predators.

The exhibition will be on public display for three months at the art gallery of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in downtown Washington, D.C.
